National Chi Nan University (NCNU) is currently accepting applications for the 2022 master’s and doctoral programs! NCNU has a total of 28 master's and 13 doctoral academic programs with 207 and 34 openings, respectively. The application process includes application submission and interviews, with no written tests. The application window is from October 14, 2021 through to November 2, 2021. This year, the College of Science and Technology has been added to this joint call for applications. Potential students are welcome to submit their applications.
According to the latest 2022 World University Rankings published by Times Higher Education (THE), NCNU ranked in the top 1000 schools in the world in terms of research and industry–university collaboration. In particular, for industry–university collaboration, NCNU ranked 412th globally and tied for 20th in the overall ranking nationally.
This year, the Ministry of Education launched the National University System of Taiwan (NUST). This system establishes a multi-faceted connection of resources among 11 national universities, including NCNU. The shared resources include teaching, research and development, library and information networks, international affairs, industry–university partnerships, and intellectual properties. Students may take courses at another university or pursue inter-school dual majors or minors within the system, where credits will be mutually accepted. The system provides students with a diversified learning opportunity.
President Dong-Sing Wuu pointed out that the employment rate of NCNU graduates ranked 7th nationally. With the support of the career counseling system, an average of 206 students pass civil service examinations or licensing examinations each year. In addition, NCNU is affiliated with more than 100 foreign universities, providing ample exchange and internship opportunities. NCNU ranked 9th nationally in the number of papers published in international journals and the average number of research projects funded by Taiwan’s National Science Council. The ranking for academic performance in the social sciences was 6th in the country.
